JEFFREY D. JENSEN, Esq - Shareholder - born in Charleston S.C. in 1967. Admitted to the Florida Bar, 2006; U.S. District Courts of the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida, Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals 2009, and the United States Supreme Court, 2009. Mr. Jensen attended the University of South Florida, where he graduated summa cum laude in 2001. He graduated from Stetson University College of Law, where he graduated cum laude in 2005.

Mr. Jensen has been a Tampa Bay resident since 1980. After graduating from Lakewood High School in 1985, he began his career in law enforcement with the United States Air Force, serving in Europe, Asia, and the Southwestern United States from 1985-1989. He returned to the Tampa Bay area in 1989 and became a police officer for the City of St. Petersburg in 1990. He managed the St. Petersburg Police Department's asset forfeiture program from 1999 to 2003. He left full-time employment and entered the police reserves while practicing law until 2007.

Mr. Jensen handles general tort litigation and civil rights claims, and has conducted trials both as second chair and as lead counsel. His twenty years of law enforcement experience gives him a great advantage defending police related claims. Use of force claims are very fact intensive, and having worn the badge, he understands how and why officers use particular defensive tactics to protect themselves. Mr. Jensen has also received training in accident investigation and reconstruction, which is useful when litigating automobile accident claims.
