Benjamin J. James - Associate - Born in Orlando, Florida, Benjamin “Ben” James attended Florida Southern College where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in History. Upon graduation, Ben attended Stetson University College of Law where he earned his Juris Doctor Degree, cum laude, with a concentration in International Law. While at Stetson, he was awarded the Victor O. Whele Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy and worked as a Research Assistant with the First Amendment Foundation.

Ben gained experience in leadership and service at an early age when he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout and the President’s Volunteer Service Award, he continued to build upon this experience by being selected as a Teaching Assistant for one of Stetson Law’s nationally recognized Trial Advocacy Classes.

Prior to working for Unice, Salzman, Jensen, Ben worked in civil defense litigation where he represented nationally recognized brands. In his first year of practice, Ben co-authored a brief which successfully petitioned a judge to order $130,000 in discovery-related costs to be paid by the adverse party.

When he isn’t working you can probably find Ben exploring one of Florida’s many State parks. Ben enjoys spending time with his wife, Amelia, and their two dachshunds in St. Petersburg, Florida.
